A room with no door...

Here’s something to think about. Imagine you’re stuck in a room with no doors, windows, chimneys, pipes, air vents, mouse holes or any legitimate means of escape. All you have with you in the room is a small block of wood and a tube of superglue. How would you get out?
Oh…and before you say it, “get out the way I got in” does not count as a proper answer. There is an answer to the question, and I’d be interested to see if anyone’s heard it or can work it out.

Promise to all assorted deities that you will never ask hypothetical questions again so you can avoid being put in such a situation. To ensure this, you glue your lips closed, then you hit yourself on the head really hard with the wood block as an atempt to render yourself unconscious. Eventually you die and go somewhere where you are much more careful what you wish for. LOL!

Well if you want to be rendered unconscious
While going on a hallucinogen-like "trip."
without knocking yourself in the head
A trip out of a different sorts
Squirt glue on the small block of wood...
Inhale
Won't be long before on that hallucinogen-like "trip."
Glue-sniffing, involves inhaling the organic solvents
found in "hobby glue," mainly toluene.

I was actually looking for imagination rather than practicalism – or sarcasm for that matter, but I suppose I should learn to expect it on these boards. The only hint I can give without giving the answer is to think of words as much as the items themselves. For instance, supposing I was to acquire a sore. I can’t use it to cut through the wall because the wall is stone, but the question is how did I get it. Why, I simply rubbed my hands together till they became very…sore.

As it is only a block of wood, I break it in half. Two halfs make a whole and I crawl out.

Good on ya Nem. As I assume you would use the glue to make the two halves a hole. Very good answer...exactly the sort of thing I'm after.
